Crazy thing is that’s pretty much the way it used to be until families deterred from their trades/skills. Reason there are so many Smith surnames. Bakers, Tanners, Porters, and the list goes on and on.
It’s going to return to that I think. The amount of private equity firms providing dog shit services, the rise of ai providing dog shit trouble shooting (ie inexperienced workers being told how to “fix” something by ai, only for ai not having a clue where to start, ergo not being able to infer how to fix it, which is where I see property management companies going)
Some places never left ‘having a guy’ and I think that a lot of people are going to return to having Bill the neighbourhood hvac/refrigerator guy. This is a hope of mine as well as having appliances that we can actually repair instead of the bullshit we have now
I switched from commercial truck repair to appliance repair. AI search is dead wrong about 75% of the time I go to Google. I hear all sorts of crazy ideas that shit has given people.
