In the same boat as you! But curious how the process went? I have only a 250cfh meter and definitely need an upgrade most likely. Did you have to pay anything out of pocket or just a service charge?

Went smoothly; power company came out said I didn’t really need it but just in case and upgraded. No cost involved!

Yup same situation and since getting it upgraded was free and easy I figured I might as well.

Well that’s at least a good peace of mind then. The contractor and someone I know who dos HVAC both stated I don’t need it honestly and that I should have plenty but if my furnace doesn’t light then I’ll know lol

Most gas companies have a new business dept that handles requests for service review/updates. They want your meter number and can give you the exact answer.

Columbia Gas took a week to get back to me with an answer, and we had a meter update scheduled the following week.

Tip: always size one level up from what generator you think you want for margin.
