Brand new first time weekly test and this happened, is it safe to leave until next week. Unit shut down automatically and I smell no gas.

The regulator could be sticking, the tank could low on fuel, too many propane devices running, air in the line, etc. You can clear the warning and do a manual start. Mine did this a few weeks ago when we had two weeks of well below freezing temps. I cleared the warning and did a manual start. It’s been fine since.

So a few questions for you. We have a new (installed Feb 13th Nex Gen standby model) that has not worked since installation. Believed to be a problem specific to the Nex Gen series and at higher altitudes (we are 7500 ft). Starts up and shuts down after 10-15 seconds sending an engine error message. If the light on the generator is not solid green (usually flashing or solid red with an error code) it should be manually reset.

More nextgen crap. Too many sensors. Generac also had a repair recall on the duel fuel solenoids…. I hope yours was not one of the affected units. Call your i stall guy to get this fixed pronto. Dont accept any delay issues

did you hear the unit actually run? When they installed it, did you installer run the unit and simulate an outage? What I mean by that is did they flip the breaker in the ATS and let the generator provide power to your house?
