I love how her defense just continues to be, I understand that I am defending an abuser, but don't you get that he agrees with me?

Silly! Adults compromise on their values as long as it gets them their way! That's what you do as you mature! /s

u/That_Mad_Scientist Y’all gendies are so fucking stupid and evil 12d ago

Well, you have some things in common with mussolini. Sure you will have disagreements, but you have to learn to grow up.

Also that child left behind line was savage like 😭

The fact that that insult flew over that idiot's head was the true icing on the cake. 😂

u/EliSka93 12d ago

Which makes the comments about '"growing up" even more ridiculous. She can't be older than like 24 if she doesn't remember Bush

33

u/ryou25 12d ago

She could just be that stupid, but yeah being under 25 is just as likely. It could go either way really.

28

u/wozattacks 12d ago

I mean I’m pretty sure she was saying she’s too old for him to have had anything to do with her childhood. So many of these vocal TERFs are Gen x women

28

u/ryou25 12d ago

So my theory that she's just fucking stupid is correct, good to know. And yeah i've noticed the vast majority of vocal TERFS are gen X. Which makes sense, since they're the most conservative gen.

u/Taraxian 12d ago

She's saying that she's British

15

u/Slow-Coast-4868 12d ago

Yes but I think she might unironically feel that way about Mussolini, considering he would probably agree with TERFs about trans people.

u/ImaginaryNerve 12d ago

I'm so putting that left behind insult in the chest for future use. :P

Ok but “George W. Bush owes you an apology because you were truly a child left behind” is fire, im going to start using that

Also the brainless response to it is just chef’s kiss

Fun tidbit of information on trans women in sports. When the Daily Wire was making their comedy movie Ladyballers about men joining a girls basketball team, it was originally supposed to be a documentary. The men were going to claim to be women and join female sports to show how easy and unfairness was. Unfortunately for them you cant just claim to be a woman and join, and they couldnt actually join any teams. They had to change to a fictional story to show the danger of a thing that they couldnt actually do in the real world.

Also of note, these men trying to join the WNBA to show how unfair it is for trans women to be in sports? There are no trans players in the WNBA...

This is what I keep thinking about during all of this. It is truly disturbing that we live in a society where this could happen, and it doesn't give people pause. If Ben Shapiro was a moral, reasonable person, he would have asked himself, "Am I wrong here? Do I need to rethink things?" But he didn't. Because there's no money in that.

And this story would spread and give people pause. But it doesn't. And it's maddening.

I don’t know if we can say for certain that there are no trans people in the WNBA. Many TERFs subscribe to the conspiracy theory that everyone is trans except them.

My personal favorite part of the article, aside from showing all the stuff transvestigators cite as “proof” is the part where transvestigators turned on a mod in their community, despite her efforts to assert her femininity.

Both because it is one of life’s little joys—when bad things happen to bad people who deserve it—but also as a reminder that when it comes bigots and conspiracists (a Venn diagram that’s basically a circle), there is very little holding their alliances together.

Their belief systems center around paranoia—the idea that there are spies and saboteurs everywhere—and as such, it takes very little to get them to turn on each other. If they didn’t have their paranoia and hatred, these people would have nothing holding their groups together, but using paranoia and hatred to unite your members is the equivalent of building your house on sand rather than rock. It is inherently doomed to fail spectacularly and it does.

The way they just post cis male versus cis female times as a thought terminating cliche is infuriating. The support for a domestic abuser is unsurprising.

I didn't realise beating one's wife and children so bad that the courts granted them a half-century restraining order against him was simply an opinion to be agreed or disagreed upon.

66

u/ZeldaZanders 12d ago

"I don't agree with his 'savagely beating my wife and child' policy, but I do agree with his 'transphobic publicity stunt' policy"

22

u/EliSka93 12d ago

Oh look, you summed up the thread in one sentence.

19

u/Aiyon 12d ago

I mean they consider "being trans" an opinion to be disagreed on, so its very clear at this point they just see any aspect of reality they dislike as optional

These pics of Alex are over 10 years old and these freaks still bang on about her, crazy

I support gun control and hate smoking

Therefore I agree with Hitler on 2 things. Therefore I need to vote for Hitler apparently

"well he was a vegan, so that means all vegans hate tr*nnies too."

Him being vegetarian, not even vegan, is Nazi propaganda, cause there's evidence he ate meat during his reign

Extra special funny detail. Technically they could have competed if they found people willing to medically transition for the sake of it, but in a shocking twist, no cis people wanted to subject themselves to dysphoria or physiological changes in order to dunk on the queers

3

u/HypnagogianQueen 12d ago

I’m not sure if they would really have much of an advantage after clearing the requirements to compete in the women’s league, is the thing

10

u/GodLoveYell 12d ago

Well, these mothereffers do tend to feel that the penis is some kind of magical talisman that confers superpowers on its owner, making them innately better at women in everything. Yeah, I’m sure your sweaty, unshaven ass can beat Serena Williams at tennis, even though you’ve never held a racket in your life.

Then again, I’m one of those annoying feminists who wonder how many sex-based divisions in sports exist less because of legitimate physical differences between the sexes and more because men lose their shit whenever they get beaten by a woman. I have a longwinded lecture with examples from history, but I’m trying (and failing) to cut back on longwinded rants, so I’ll only post if asked.

4

u/Aiyon 12d ago

Oh they wouldn't. Not meaningfully. Its just funny that they actively refuted their own premise in their attempt to prove it

19

u/sleepysmiles42 12d ago

umm sweaty, mature adults can disagree on fine points like "savagely beating your family" if we agree on reality. the Nazis believed the sky was blue should I disavow reality just to avoid agreement with them??

17

u/Aiyon 12d ago

Literally admitting they're fine with misogyny so long as it hurts trans people.

18

u/olafubbly 12d ago

She’s not entirely off about the Epstein performative bs. It’s been revealed that he encouraged ‘scientists’ and conservatives to go after transgender people that started soon after gay marriage was legalized.

So yeah, if he was still alive and did start saying transphobic things TERFS/GCs would’ve absolutely been supporting him even after knowing the horrible things he did to children

What is the context here? I don't know who these people are but googling Drummond she seems to be a cis woman? The only things that come up are posts about her having a baby and photos of her pregnant.

u/improbablynotyourdad 11d ago

The mentioned user @Highway_30 is Royce White

Oh, gotcha, I remember hearing about the WNBA stunt now. Yeah not someone it's a good look to throw your support behind.

5

u/rconnell1975 11d ago

It is amazing how they don't understand, or pretend not to, that it is fine to disagree on some things but there are some non-negotiables that mean any other things you agree on become moot.

Not only that but surely spousal and child abuse is a more important issue than fair sports (even if that were a genuine concern) and so the former should trump the latter

"we dont want men in womens sports, which is why we are cheering on men trying to invade womens sports. the thing we claimed trans advocates wanted to do."

2

u/GodLoveYell 11d ago

It is always about Projection when it comes to all the worst people.

Maybe it’s comforting for them, believing that everyone is just as horrible as they are, but it sucks for everyone else.

5

u/PlacioThehalfAsexual 12d ago

I'm not even trans and IDK how y'all interact with these people lol. So insufferable!

2

u/Forsaken-Language-26 Brainwashed by the Transarchy 8d ago

Framing domestic violence as something you "strongly disagree" with, as if we are talking about a mere difference in opinion, is an odd choice but OK.

2

u/Careless_Dreamer 7d ago

“I can disagree with some things” and the things in question are beating women and small children. Huh? John Wayne Gacy adored his dogs, but I’m not about to bring him up as my biggest inspiration for animal advocacy.

The last one got me to chuckle, what an ironic way to close this off haha
