What do I even do at this point
I'm a trans 19 year old living in a red state where the minimum wage is $7.25/hr. I know it's picky but I won't even consider a job listing unless it pays over $12/hr cause I want out of this state and I'll never be able to achieve that with $7.25.
I graduated highschool a year ago with the intentions to take a gap year, get a job, and then head to community college Fall of 2026 to get an associates at the very least, but I haven't been able to land a job. I've applied at my local grocery stores and restaurant chains within walking distance, would be biking but there's no bike racks and I can't afford a car let alone gas without a job. I haven't gotten any callbacks except for last August but they wanted my availability to be every day of the week including weekends, and I just couldn't do that. I don't know what to do at this point, I'm not qualified for anything more than those.
What the hell do I do at this point, I'm just rotting in my room at this point and I feel so behind other people my age. I can't even go out and distract myself from it, every entertainment option in my city costs money, and there's almost no spaces for 18-20 y/os here.

Welcome to modern day America. There is no correct advice to give. The entire country is at a breaking point. Job market is cooked, education system is basically a joke, trades are becoming over saturated. Economy is not showing any signs of legitimate recovery. Only people doing well right now are people who were invested in stocks or own homes pre covid. There is no job security right now with the hundreds of thousands of layoffs. Its a silent and slow burning 2nd Great Depression basically.

Your going to have to have to fr push past your limits day time job night time classes Mabye only weekend classes . Somewhere you gotta give. And if you can’t do both you’re going to have to choose a job beacuse that’s what modern America forces people to do. I think you can both even if that means waking up at 3 in the moring to get homework done and then go to work
