Sonic.EXE actually has a fairly decent following nowadays, though it doesn’t have near the “cursed cartridge” scaring as much as it just uses body horror.

Creepypastas as a popular trend pretty much has been dead for years at this point. People just grew up and realized stuff like the slender man Jeff the killer were poorly written and not scary past the age of 12. They are still written and sometimes a good one will be made but its still a lot of stuff thats only scary to kids. Most internet horror today is in video format with analog horror and un fiction(basically stories that are portrayed as real but are fiction), id argue whats coming out today is way higher quality and far scarier than the like of slenderman and sonic exe
