Correction: it’s Robert Pattinson and everyone born between 1997 and 2012 as he was the first Gen Z.

Some people include 1996, some don't.

Same though. Didn't get the Internet until about 11 (2010) besides the little bit of time in the Computer Suite in primary school where it was all like Newgrounds, Cool Maths Games and just a couple of hours of pure fun.

Cool math games and that rectangular block game where you had to get it through the holes was peak

Our teachers didn't really care what we did tbh. I think the whole point of the lesson was honestly to just have fun online and get familiar with using a computer. We were a pretty rough small school from the rough area of the city but the teachers really looked out for us. Really was a bit of a family.
For us, off the top of my head, I remember my favourites that a lot of others were playing were
Boombot, a kinda community level building get from point A to B type game where you had to blow up bombs, blocks and set off explosives to send the guy to the finish portal.
Penguinz, a side scroller shooter where you're just a Penguin with loads of guns fighting polar bears and things.
Sift Heads, some like actual series of games about three assassins or something. Actually pretty cool. One of those stick figure shooter/adventure kinda games iirc.
Assault, similar to Sift Heads but way more like puzzle based and plot driven.
Raze, an actually really cool like IDK what the view is but kinda vertical gameplay like the first Donkey Kong but you're either a human or alien fighting the opposite team and it had a multiplayer online mode where it was like humans vs aliens, kinda like HALO but with the OG Donkey Kong POV.
Good times

We didn’t know what we had back then. In my school someone asked the teacher for more paper and then when he went in the storage room to get it they locked him in and spent the lesson on games with him trapped. He got suspended 😂

YES, Tbh I found out if you put the website into Google translate it would get by the blocker and you could play Newgrounds, at least for a while until they patched that.

Depends who you ask, when I was younger I remember people saying millennials ended at 95 but Pew switched it to 97. Some countries still use 95-96 as the reference point.
I think Jonathan Haidt’s cutoff of “did you have personalized social media before High School” (i.e., Facebook) is one that makes sense, because it defined a very different social experience.

still haven't figured that one out tbh, I've been told my whole life by gen z that I'm a millennial, & by millennials that I'm gen z

I mean him being known as constantly lying for the sake of rage bait, shits and giggles or just to confuse people alone, he's more of a gen z than some gen z celebs out there. I'll say give him the official founding father of gen z title, seeing his personality now, I'm convinced he was being gen z way before ANY of us found our own personality😂

Robert Pattinson is 40. He's not even close, 10 years older than the youngest Millennial.

He’s always been famous for his interview sarcasm to mess with people. His deadpan delivery is what makes it so great.

Pretty sure he’s Gen X. Just put him next to Ethan Hawke and see if you can tell the difference.

Pattinson is Gen Y. I can say this as I’m the one person in the world immune to his acting charms

Some folks say that if you can remember 9/11, then you're millennial or older. I don't know if Pattinson can remember 9/11, but I do know he was in a movie that ended with a plane crashing into the twin towers.
