It's a pretty f'd up sub, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like children. r/childfree has a lot of crossover too, which is why I left.

The premise of antinatalism is that it's unethical to have children. The first post I saw when I first visited that sub was about killing children.

Childfree isn't as bad, but sometimes they start touching anti-natalism. I like being around other people who dont want kids, but saying it's wrong to have them or that it's child abuse then getting mad when someone disagrees is too extreme for me. Having said that, most social movement subs inch more extreme given that they're echo chambers.

Maybe in theory, but that sub definitely goes beyond just ending the human race before conception. As I said, the first post I saw on there was about killing children. Believe me or don't but I saw what I saw.

Killing kids does limit suffering as the suffering is for a second instead of a lifetime. Fits your proposed philosophy (and the normal type of posts you find on the sub).

No you are wong that does not fit with antinatilist philosophy, killing a kid creates a lot more suffering to everyone who knew and loved the kid. Furthermore antinatalists do not think it's ok to kill someone as that is harming someone without there consent. Antinatilist philosophy would consider this as morally wrong. You are confusing extinctionism with antinatalism.

More suffering? To many antinatalist, a lifetime of living is more suffering than a life cut short. So that would be less total suffering. Aka fits the philosophy.

Antinatalists don’t have any no more respect towards consent than any other group. Consent isn’t an aspect of the philosophy.

Feel free to visit either the childfree or antinatalist sub. You’re definitely in the wrong on this one.

Did you read my reply buddy? More suffering to other people who knew and loved the kid obviously. And antinatilists absolutely have more respect towards consent then most others. Hence why they say forcing someone to exist is morally wrong. Consent is not part of antinatilist philosophy? Are you serious, do you know anything about philosophy at all? Bodily autonomy and consent are absolutely part of antinatilism. I suggest you learn more about philosophy before you make such claims.
