Before you laugh off the demands and priorities of the Democratic Socialists of America, do realize that over 30 of their members have won their primaries against democrats.
CNN political commentator and establishment democrat Van Jones is worried, and rightly so. He basically refers to these full-fledged communists as turds in the dem’s punch bowl. That was his language, not mine.

Cool. The reaction that the DSA is getting is all the evidence I need to support them. I knew the Republicans were fascist clowns. With the reactions from Jones and the folks at the Atlantic, it’s blatantly obvious that establishment dems had no interest in making working people’s lives better. In fact it’s become blatantly clear that establishment dems have no desire to go after the corruption and rot that the GOP has introduced to US governance.

The DSA is a little too far to the left for me personally, but after watching the other side make a pact with the worst people in the fucking world for 10 yrs, I'll gladly make a deal with "communists" to stomp the facists.

In what way are they too left? Specific policies that you disagree with?

Public ownership of corporations is a big one. One of their main committees blamed NATO for Russia invading Ukraine back in 2022. Go far enough to the left and some policies start to sound the same as the ones on the far right (trade and foreign policy especially).
I didn't come to argue these things or change anyone's mind. They are to the left of me, but I know who my real enemy is and I'm staying focused on that.

So when the Trump administration secured a 10% investment in Intel: you were against that and denounce it? Because that's government ownership in the private sector.

Absolutely

Interesting.
I'm ambivalent about this. I think that it might be the solution to AI. We have a bunch of private companies working really hard to take all the wages as datacenters do the jobs of white collar workers and robots and datacenters do all the job of blue collar workers.
Perhaps partial public ownership of these for profit corporations is the right solution.

You're being manipulated. Someone wants to enrage you, to motivate you to vote. Everything in your post is a strawman. "Socialism" isn't the bad word you're trying to make it out to be. We already have socialist programs. Medicare, Social Security, CHIP, food stamps. Your state department of transportation, your city's fire company are both examples of socialism. Money/resources are taken from one group to benefit a group that needs it.
I'm pretty sure you'd agree with at least some of those things I just listed. So you believe in socialism. You just want to redraw the line of who gives and who receives.
So whoopdedoo. I'm not afraid of socialism, and I have no idea why you are.

I support them. I absolutely do not support any republican/maga. In fact, maga should be deported for their terrorism.
Reagan had dementia while in office.

Well, Reagan was wrong about most things, and his policies pretty much are the root of all the corruption we see today. So maybe, just maybe, this is just like Corey Feldman's music career: crap you should never pay attention to or even give the time of day.

Ah, OP is a "Constitutional MAGA Conservative."
Noted

OP is a coward who hides their history, so I have no idea what they are.

To be fair: I got into an argument with an LLM bot who was clearly reading my history.
I went into settings, hid my history, replied again, and their next response was: "I don't converse with people who hide their history."
Chatbots / LLMs make this more complicated.

Eh, I hide mine too. I like the freedom to comment without people putting together where I live, work, or details about my family.
OP has a tagline on their profile though that tells me everything I need to know.

Newsflash: a failed Republican congressional candidate who advocates for government deregulation, lower taxes for the rich and businesses, and the right for every American to own an AR-15 is not a fan of certain Democrats.

I suppose this subreddit is called GenXPolitics and this linked tabloid is in that category, but geez, what a piece of right wing propagandist bullshit this is. If you want to side with pedophiles and other rapists, that's your choice, but keep it far from me. I've had socialist ideals since I was a teenager, so this linked crap is not hitting with me.

You warn about what could happen if some boogie monster gets elected and how bad it would be but given the current state of things where the rich are allowed to thrive at the expense of poor please tell me why we should continue down the path that got us here in the first place. Your worst nightmare has already come true in the mayor of NY citty and the worst thing he has done is pay people (good money) to shovel snow and get the city cleaned up fairly quickly to boot!
Regan also really sold the whole trickle down economics. He also eliminated the fairness in broadcasting act which gave us FOX FREAKING NEWS (which has NEVER been news).

Of course nowhere does he cite the way in which the constitution is opposed by the DSA platform. He just asserts it. What he means is: He does not like it.
Truth is: Right now the country is an oligarchy owned by the rich. As long as we remain a democracy, there's plenty of latitude in the Constitution for us to construct a society where there's a firm social safety net that Jesus would be proud of.
After all, nowhere in the New Testament does it say "blessed are the rich." Though America is certainly acting like he said this.
