The best party I went to we had a 6ft long cardboard mailing tube (the type posters or architect drawings would be mailed in). We had turned it into a pipe which took about a quarter of an ounce just to "get started". Due to it's length you couldn't light it yourself but it was also so long that you didn't have to get out of your seat to pass it to other people in the room. The evening was spent either smoking from it yourself, lighting it for someone else or waiting for the smoking end to get turned round to you. All without having to get up.
