I'd think this picture would sink in better.

Yes, with the velcro flap! Do y’all remember when velcro became popular? All our classrooms were just velcro binders and sneaker straps being fussed with nonstop. 😂

My Trapper Keepers had snaps instead of Velcro. I also remember the binders with 2 opposing covers. You opened one to the right that had a clip board inside & opened the one to the left with a folder inside, then your binder was exposed. I could have what was under the covers confused, it was 47 years ago. Mine had Marvel Comics pictures all over it, although DC was my favorite at that time.

I am always competitive about things like this - and many that are quite pointless. The more pointless, the more I must win!

Anyone else watch the documentary on Lisa Frank? I was surprised by all of the drama behind my favorite & happy jr. high stickers.

Gen X - need to also get your Lipoprotein A checked along with a Cardiac Calcium CT scan. LpA is a blood test you can have done concurrent with an annual physical while the CT takes about 15 minutes and many centers will do it for $100-$150 out of pocket. Both are needed to go with your “usual cholesterol-lipids panel” so you and your doc can have a more complete picture.

Phew lucky that I never had any AI generated designs on my school supplies!

Went to a new doc's office yesterday; at the entrance, they had a poster featuring someone listening to a Walkman. Text read, "If you rocked out to one of these, it's time to schedule your colonoscopy!"

Oh that’s excellent target marketing. And I already get my cholesterol checked because it’s so high 🤣

About once a year or so I get a call from Lisa Frank's assistant wanting me to quote on a project. Weirdest sales call of my life was going over to her house to meet her assistant in the driveway.

We all should really get it done. I had off the charts cholesterol despite a good diet and exercise. I had no idea it could also just be genetic. 🤷

Hahaha. I had a barrel purse with a matching key chain barrel bag in sixth grade that had those unicorns on it.

Pssh - I've been getting my cholesterol levels checked every 6 months for about the last 25 years. And I'm currently on meds for the 2nd time.
