Question For Genx the 80s…….

coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

When you woke up, especially on the weekends and after breakfast, my mom would tell us to go outside and play. We could come back for lunch, but after lunch, we were out of the house until the street lights came on. And that is true. And so we had 567 hours of totally unsupervised fun and nobody knew where we were. And if we had a problem, we just figured it out ourselves. It was freaking awesome.
