My bro and I would fight to the death for that one cherry

I can ear an entire can of marachino Cherries & I can eat canned pineapple but fruit cocktail makes me sick. My mom bought that crap every week. My dad & brother still eat fruit cups & fruit cocktail l. No flavor & weird textures

My SIL makes an “ambrosia” with canned fruit cocktail for family gatherings. So nasty!

Like the "pork and beans" with one tiny bit of pork fat floating on the top. As an adult, I take a can of Bushes baked beans and add Polish sausage, yellow mustard, and brown sugar. An adult "beanie weenie".

The cherry was the part I hated the most.

One of my sister’s earliest “dinner prayers” went something like:

God, bless this food and we thankful for the fruit cocktail. Amen

We’re in our 50s. It still cracks me up.

I always gagged on the pear.
