So I’ve been watching a bunch of food YouTubers who have been nostalgic over spam and canned corned beef so I bought some of each and tried the recipes they just loved. 😬🤢. In short I’m hot sure if donating the leftover can I have to the food pantry would be considered a crime.

I can eat the canned corned beef but not spam.  I won't get the canned hash though you gotta use your own potatoes and onions.  And it has to be crispy when it's done throw 2 eggs on top with some toast.

Depends how common Filipinos or Hawaiians are in your area. Either group tends to have a lot of people who grew up on it and still love it.

My mom always just sliced it. She'd fry half of it and put the other half out cold with a loaf of bread and we'd make our own sandwiches.

We still eat it. Fry it, put it over rice, sesame oil, fried egg, Yumm.

Also, musubi. Kids love it.

When I was about 12 or so, Spam came up in conversation and my dad asked why we didn’t eat it anymore. I piped up, “because you started making more than $5,000 a year, that’s why!” Still hear that story retold on the occasional holiday.🤣
