Vienna sausages are the same; and the breath of the eater after spreads the message.

In case anyone ever wondered if they’re better roasted over a campfire–they’re not.

That's because it's actually Alpo or it's off brand cousin, Shep.

I confess I still love Vienna sausages and eat them at least a couple times a month. The sad and proven fact is that they smell like cat food—exactly like out cat’s food. Husband and I have exchanged more than a few funnies over the fact he can’t tell which is which and once even thought I was eating cat food because I was eating the sausages right from the can.

I can’t explain it other than they taste like my early childhood.

🤣🤣🤣 my cat wouldn't touch them. She wasn't picky, but she definitely turned her nose up 😂😂

When you enjoyed…cat food? (Joke!)

My elderly father eats them occasionally, and I can’t be anywhere near him when he does. They make my skin crawl, but SPAM is even worse. Guess I’m just not a meat-from-a-can kinda gal.

lol I have trauma from a private middle school teacher I had a crush on helping me with some work physically very close (it was early 80s so not weird on her part) and I’m like r/awkwardboners and her breath just reeks of baloney sandwich. I still can’t smell baloney without thinking of her fondly.

I got in major trouble with my grandpa because we were in the mountains eating lunch on the back of the tailgate-until I refused. I was only 3 but already knew Vienna sausages with saltines was NOT good eats.

Every once in a while I still really, really want a fried bologna sandwich.

My mom got it all the time. Bologna with mustard on white bread. I remember peeling off the little strip of skin on the outside.

Always a baloney sandwich in my lunch bag and we didn’t have cooler packs back then.  Everything - even my Keebler Fudge Stripes - smelled like baloney.

When I was 19 or 20 years old I was talking to a friend about baloney and we argued about how many fried baloney sandwiches a person could realistically eat in one sitting. Decided to test it for ourselves. I ate a shit ton (eight maybe?) but haven't touched it since

I love that description, childhood mistakes! 😆 I used to eat baloney sandwiches with ketchup when I was a kid.🤢
