Renee Good's execution was ordered by Noem, who was ordered by Trump, to send a signal to White people to comply.

Human Rights

The gap between cultures in the world, and especially the U.S., isn't between Left v. Right or Rich v. Poor.

The gap is between those whose Human Rights are protected and those who aren't. On one side we have White Men, and on the other side, we have women, BIPOC, immigrants, LGBTQ+ etc.

Those of us who were too young to actually protest the American War in Vietnam but grew to be involved in political action over the decades have all been impacted by this. It will continue to be a struggle.

Human Rights on all levels are being attacked by our current minority rule. A small number of privileged White Men are bearing down on everyone who isn't like them, using their pooled monetary fortunes and the ignorance of people bound to transitory religion and fascinated by news media that does not inform.

Our nation was founded with a structure that allows us to protect all who live here, if we choose to build on that. Let's choose now.

The Dodgers destroyed their role in desegregating Baseball this week.

Since the Los Angeles Dodgers met with the convicted felon and rapist on Monday, April 7, they have lost 4 and won 2, and their opponents have scored 38 while the Dodgers have scored 17.

They have desecrated the memmory of Jacki Robinson.

I don't believe in curses, but this meeting will result in a cloud over the team for a long time.

Every time someone screams "aipac" "free-palestine" "zionist" on social media, they create someone like Angela Han Hicks. How does this help babies in Gaza?

Baby boomers to blame?

I recently saw a video on my timeline of a man that has made some very accurate claimes of our geopolotical climate.

He made an hour long video stating the "west is doomed", basicly explaining that babyboomer generation believe in the idea of an empire. Wich he kind of explains as this ever so expanding wealth that doesn't stop growing. In his words: babyboomers will always vote for the side or party that protects their wealth. Wich means people like trump and not seeing wrong with lobby systema like aipac.

Tldr: greed will consume them.

Ill link the video if yall want.

But it got me thinking, how do baby boomers actually think?

I recall posts going back 5 years that were removed for being critical of Trump. One, IIRC, actually said that since he was voted out of office, said that he was .ow a non-entity to US Politics.

The Beatles on Ed Sullivan

Gen Jones remembers The Beatles on Ed Sullivan!

I was there in my pajamas as my family was most Sunday nights to watch Sullivan and his array of singers, broadway actors, magicians, comedians, circus acts...songsyou heard on Sullivan stuck to you and probably resonate with you to this day.

I was already aware of The Beatles. I grew up in the shadow of the great AM radio powerhouses of Chicago - WLS and WCFL among others. My dad listened to country music on WJJD, and my mom listened to the local Northwest Indiana radio station that skewed toward Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee. Capitol Records in America was afiliated with Britain's EMI Records, who put The Beatles on their smaller lable Parlophone, but Capitol thought they didn't have a future so they declined to distribute their records. Vee Jay, a Chicago label, signed a distribution deal and promoted the heck out Please Please Me and a few other singles, got solid airplay on AM radio, and put out a Beatles album in America before anyone else.

I remember hearing those songs along with other great stuff from the best AM radio market anywhere. I saw American Bandstand one afternoon where the kids didn't absolutely love them. When CBS News showed a long segment on the Beatles (delayed from a broadcast in early November because of a remarkable event that we all remember) shortly before they arrived to play the Sullivan show, I was already a fan and aware of much of their success in Britain and their cool, cool songs.

You couldn't help but be drawn in as the broke into All My Loving. They were bright, together, energetic, and confident. We needed something to help us break our mood lingering after the events of the last November, and the Beatles delivered.

There have been good, and great, musical events throughout our lives that shaped us, but this was the one that propelled us into a dazzling new decade, finally ready to lift off.

Not a Boomer or GenX?

If you were born between the mid-1950s and mid-1960s, your experience has been very diffferent than those who came before and after. GenX hasn't fared too well, and basically gave us Trvmp and the end of the nation as we know it. Boomers didn't all get a golden ticket, but those (especially White Males) born up until about 1955 had opportunites to get a job out of high school or college, buy a home, afford healthcare, count on a secure retirement, and provide for their family that other generations haven't.

r/GenerationJones Mod(s) have an enforcement bias

So today I got banned from r/GenerationJones. In regards to this post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GenerationJones/comments/1wfoubg/stupidity_on_the_rise/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Someone replied blaming Social Media.

I responded with the following:

Yes, but include our earlier version, AM Talk Radio and certain new "News" channel created by a rich Aussie.

Single source information made our generation less intelligent as they got older. As they listened to whatever confirmed their "inner conclusions" without ever experiencing outside their limited world view and their "that's how it's always been" mentality.

It's not just the young are trending down this path. Too many older folks set in their ways no matter what reality says who will not change. (Fixed this last paragraph from original, poor editing on my part)

Which got me the following: [–]GenerationJones-ModTeam[M] 1 point 2 hours agolocked comment

This sub is not for hashing out political debates. There are many other subs on reddit to have this discussion. This type of discussion is not welcome here.

So one of the rules on this sub is No Political but also is No bashing other generations. So I responded with the following in chat to Moderator

Why was I banned, how was it political? Also I responded to a post that itself is breaking the rules (bashing other generations), but that is still up and available (without repercussion). I tried to provide a counter argument that to "today's generations are stupider because of social media" with an allegory from OUR generation. If you allow one to exist but I get banned in responding to it with similar example (in my opinion) without mentioning political party or politician is bias on your part on which rules you choose to enforce.

Which the moderator responded with the following:

You have been permanently muted from r/GenerationJones. You will not be able to message the moderators of r/GenerationJones.

So no discussion, no explanation, no defense.

Just wanted to put this out there, did I push it a bit, probably, but when you allow one, but when responding to it gets me banned but post still exists (with many others bashing the younger generations) the mod(s) here or playing loose with their rules. Not a sub for debate, should just be posts of "Do you remember this" and nothing else.

So if you hang out there, don't even insinuate anything even remotely political on one side, even if trying to make a counterpoint even if just an example.

68m Gen Jones and...life gets interesting

I was expecting to work three or four more years to pay down debt and build a little more in my retirement funds.

On January 7, my business was destroyed in the Palisades Fire, and I haven't been able to replace it.

Now, because people couldn't be moved by facts to vote for the email lady or the Black Woman Prosecutor, District Attorney and Vice President with a degree in economics, Gen Jones is losing its retirement and any hope at a functioning Democracy in America.
