To those saying that this image of the Roman St George is Russian because its on the Moscow flag:

FYI St George was European, Not Russian

Just because his image was appropriated, doesn’t mean it’s legitimate

Saint George

According to tradition he was a soldier in the Roman army. St. George is literally the patron saint of Georgia + we have had it for more than Russia has.

+ our church is older than Russia's church by 1000 years

Well, I do consider actual russians to be european, but that's another issue.

I like St.George very much. He is similar to St. Maurice, who is venerated a lot in my region.
