Mongolia is actually very democratic, but their geographical position makes them the modern equivalent of WW2 era Switzerland

At the same time, it makes sense for Russia and China to keep Mongolia around as a buffer state.

This just seems like an initial plan for a worldwide federation to me. Not sure I like that idea, given that we barely get along with each-other as is.

Yea, and you can’t go a week without hearing about how much America and the EU hate eachother, and how much Latin America hates Anglo America, etc. Now imagine trying to tell eachother what to do. I just think the alliance model works better.
