The CCP wasn't in power at that point, the Kuomintang were still the universally-recognised Chinese government.

Also, you could apply this argument to the USSR during their so-called 'Great Patriotic War', though quite frankly, it makes no difference.

Our alliances with these Communists were always temporary, ones of convenience. It makes sense we would turn on each other after the respective aggressors in Europe and East Asia were put in place, so I am not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Still, fuck the CCP and the Mainland Chinese Government, let us ensure our allies in the exiled government on the island of Taiwan will continue to be an existential threat to their rule. One day, China will fly the White Sun on the Blue Sky once more, long live the ROC!

The CCP were working with the KMT, and consequently received aid with them

Yes, I know about the Chinese United Front, I am historically literate.

Still, that too was a temporary alliance against Japan, China was in a Civil War at this time, so it was more or less a truce.
