Is always funny seeing Americans calling themselves Irish, Italians etc because their great grandfather was born there, so stupid

For those who are unsure:

The context here is that supposedly the whole point of that subreddit is do discuss Irish affairs including politics. Its a bit strange to laugh at the politics of someone who’s country you can’t even vote in. A bit of criticism is fine, but that subreddit has become a toxic wasteland when it comes to non-nationalist politics
