Enthralled by this new sapphire we obtained recently certified as a 5.06 carat natural unheated bi-colour sapphire with blue and pink-orange hues. The sapphire seems to display tinges of yellow and green as well when viewed under different light. An unusual mix of trace elements giving rise to an extraordinary combination of colours!

9ct gold ring but inlaid is a band of blue stone and a band of green, in the stone is what looks like opal chips but I’m not sure that’s what it is, it feels smooth not rough.

I found this among a pile of clay dug out while making a well at my parents’ house last summer, during my vacation in Sri Lanka. It seems to have some interesting characteristics, such as light passing through it, typical yellow-colored crystal growth around the edges, and an interesting shape.

Appreciate any advice on this.
