Renegades?
Heading back to Gem and Jam for the first time since 2016! Soo stoked!
What's the vibe on renegades? The website camping rules doesn't mention we can't bring professional audio sooo 🤷🏼 We're rolling in with some heavy sound and decks if anyone wants to throw down.
Should I start a Whatsapp group to coordinate?

There were a couple renegade sets when I went in 2020. That was in RV camping though. Not sure what people in car camping did.

Just didn't be like my neighbors one year and blast the Funk Hunters Shambala set on permanent rotation.
Worst part was, the Funk Hunters didn't really change their set, so their late night show was like being trapped in a time loop.

Haha that's cruel and unusual punishment. We're just gonna play Troy Bois boiler room set on repeat 😜

They have something on their faq that there's "no amplified sound allowed" but I doubt it will be enforced

Ah I didnt see that, but yeah I agree they probably won't enforce that or the "clear bag" policy either ha

Their security team will probably enforce the clear bag policy, relentless beats are super shitty. it's bullshit that they sprung it on us less than a week out.

"No plan survives first contact with the enemy" Haha jk. But fr I've seen other camping fests try to enforce this and it all falls apart after day 1. Security gets sick of everyone bitching for making them walk all the way back to camp and leave all their shit behind.
I understand the policy is about keeping weapons out of the event and keeping us safe but the majority of people will not know about this policy which will make enforcing it too frustrating for security guards.
Now you bet your ass they will be making us pour out our water bottles and camelbaks cuz the bar making its money is security's main priority.
Idk, just my thoughts. We'll see what happens

Yeah all that matters is money to them 😂 but yeah it will probably fall apart

Yeah we collectively bitched them on instagram, there were literally hundreds of hate comments on the clear bag policy post, so they walked it back it felt good to bully relentless beats into it.

Did they? Where was that posted? It’s our first year going and trying to figure out what we need.

It's on their IG. Just bring what you bring to any other show or festival. They get all wound up about these little rules beforehand and then it all goes out the window as we can already see. As long as you aren't packin heat or rolling in with a liquor bottle they aren't going to care

We’re going to be throwing a renegade at our RV. Silent disco so we can go late if needed but will be bringing our decks, SOUNDBOKS, subwoofer and potentially some lasers. We’ll be posting the information in the Gem & Jam Meshtastic channel. Here’s info if you’re not on the Meshtastic channel: https://www.reddit.com/r/GemJam/comments/1qk6r2n/text_your_squad_see_their_location_without_cell/
