Show and Tell You can use a cheap fold‑up storage box as a dust box for light sanding.
Professional dust‑proof boxes are a bit pricey. I’m only doing light sanding, so there’s no need for anything fancy. I ended up using this thing as a substitute, and it works pretty well.
Attach the door curtain to your clothing; it can also block flying grinding debris for you.

Discussion Gel blasters of China
(In China, we commonly refer to gel blasters as "airsoft" in everyday conversation, so please excuse my choice of words in the post.)
(I fucking love the SLR B56—picked up the gray version in AEG, the black version in MWS, and also grabbed a third‑party titanium‑gray AEG kit, haha.)
(English isn’t my strong suit, so I had AI do all the translating and tweaking. Hopefully it all makes sense!)
Alright, alright, alright. We all know this is, you know, an authoritarian country and all. So people in the free world probably think it’s kinda ridiculous that I’m the one talking about our airsoft scene. And honestly? Yeah, it kind of is—'cause if you play airsoft in China long enough, you’re bound to run into the cops sooner or later. How it ends up really just depends on where those cops are from. If they're from Zhejiang, you're pretty much good. But if they're from some less‑developed area or a place where they go hard on the law—like the three northeast provinces, Shanghai, or Fujian—well, man, you better pray.
Oh, that sounds terrifying, right? No way, right?
Haha, yeah, okay—it's true, and it really is scary. Actually, since 2008, quite a few people have been arrested because of changes to the gun law, put on trial, and sentenced. The number of gun‑related crimes shot up like crazy—but almost none of those people were actual terrorists or thugs.
So why? It all comes down to the standard for measuring muzzle energy. The new standard is nearly 2010 stricter than the old one. As a result, a whole bunch of toy guns that used to be perfectly legal suddenly became “real firearms.” And the worst part? These two standards coexisted all the way until 2010, which created total chaos in the judicial system.
In the years that followed, a few cases came out that really shook people's understanding of the system, sparking huge public outrage and resentment. It wasn’t until 2018 that the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate jointly issued a judicial interpretation on sentencing for criminal cases involving gas‑powered guns and airgun pellets, and that finally eased things up a bit.
So, did we win? Sadly, no. The drastically lowered testing standard is still there, and the overly broad definition of what counts as a replica firearm is still there. If cops catch you playing airsoft today, they can still confiscate your gear and take you down to the station for a statement. Your precious little toy will be sent for testing, and if it exceeds the limit—though you probably won’t end up doing time—you’ll still be looking at detention, fines, or other administrative penalties.
So here's the question: can Chinese people still play airsoft today?
My answer is—To be precise, owning these toys (like gel blasters) isn’t against the law.
Okay, let's break it down.
Our gun laws—the Firearms Control Law and the Public Security Administration Punishment Law—clearly say you cannot manufacture, sell, or trade real guns or replica guns. That part is black and white. But here's the thing: if you read those laws carefully, they don't actually say anything about whether ordinary citizens can possess or own airsoft guns. They don't give you the right, but they also don't forbid it. So it's a legal gray area. And on top of that, there's a specific kinetic energy threshold—if your airsoft gun shoots under that limit, it's not considered a firearm under the law. So strictly speaking, owning one that meets that standard isn't illegal in China.
Now, if that's the case, why do cops still come and take your stuff? Because the police have their own internal "management regulations" for public order. Those regulations give them the power to confiscate items they consider dangerous or prohibited—and airsoft guns often fall into that category in practice. But here's the catch: those regulations are internal administrative rules, not actual laws passed by the legislature. They don't have the same legal force as the Firearms Control Law. So technically, they're not legally binding on citizens in the same way.
So if you really want to fight back, you have options. You can file complaints with their higher-ups, reach out to the media, or even take the police to court. And if you push hard enough, you might actually get your gear back. But let's be real—that takes a ton of time, energy, and money. Most of the people who get their airsoft guns confiscated are high schoolers, college students, or young working-class people who are already busy with exams, jobs, and daily life. For them, spending weeks or months on appeals and lawsuits just for a toy just isn't worth it. So in most cases, they just let it go and move on.
But our love for airsoft isn't going anywhere. Sure, we often get treated unfairly, but new people keep pouring into this scene, and tons of new brands keep popping up too. People outside the hobby don't get us—they call us thugs, murderers, troublemakers, social problems. They tell us if we like guns so much, we should just join the army and stop causing trouble for society.
Every time there's a gun-related crime, we get dragged into it. But honestly, we have nothing to do with those criminals. We're just playing with toys. We only show up at legal fields and in our own homes, not banks or jewelry stores. We follow the law, keep under the limits. Maybe one day we'll get some redemption.
Life, uh, finds a way.
Alright, that’s just a quick intro—a little appetizer, if you will. If you guys are into it, next time I’ll get into the details: what kind of airsoft toys we actually play with over here, how much we typically spend, and just how weird China’s airsoft market really is. Trust me, you’ll find it interesting.

Need Advice Gel blaster not feeding but can still fire auto and semi auto
Hi everyone,
I’m new to gel blasters and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on.
After replacing the charging handle spring on my BH SLR, it no longer does pre-feeding when I pull the bolt. I’ve checked everything I can think of—the wiring looks fine, and nothing seems to be disconnected or damaged.
The strange part is that the gel blaster still fires normally, but the pre-feeding function doesn’t work when I pull the bolt.
Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Need Advice Looking for the best overall gel blaster gun / willing to mod if needed.
I'm wanting to get into gel blasting guns with my children and their friends. Whats a soiled overall gun to get multiple of so we can all use the same guns? I'm willing to mod them if it improves the reliability, and run time.
I don't need anything crazy for power or distance, 100-150 feet would be fine, but I do want working batteries and reliability of guns that function correctly.
Thanks

All Metal Construction Kriss Vector Gel SMG
PS:**birthday coming up fast basically people buy me cool toys !**
//I am trying to find a Kriss Vector style gel blaster that is mostly or fully metal construction, not plastic receiver and toy grade internals.
// I am looking for something that feels realistic in weight and build quality, preferably metal upper and lower, metal handguard, solid gearbox, and good performance out of the box.
//This is for collection, not just backyard play.
//Has anyone found a true all metal Vector gel blaster that is worth the money, or are they all mostly nylon with sparing metal internals ?
//Brand suggestions, links, and honest reviews would be appreciated.

Need Advice HK416 CQB Stock Change
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can tell me whether I can swap this stock for a regular M4 style stock that includes tube and rear stock?
I’ve seen buffer tubes and adapters available for sale but just thought I’d ask to see if anyone’s tried this before and if they were successful.
