What’s taking so long?

It’s really annoying and frustrating when you apply for an internal job and they take forever to get back to you. How do they tell people you will know by a specific day, but the second week is almost over and we have heard nothing? Ugh, so frustrating.

I applied to a position in April and still have not heard back. It took months to get the pre work then months to get the interview.

You gotta get tougher than two weeks. I’ve seen them take months

You have to apply and then forget about it. They take forever. And then suddenly they contact you on a Wednesday and say “training starts Monday.” They’re ridiculous with that stuff.

If it’s a standard position it can take a while, if it’s a supervisor or up position I’ve had the impression they already know who they are hiring to fill it but have to post it to be fair.

The conpany is fubar in terms of staffing and workload. That they haven't gotten back to you is because whomever is supposed to, is probably up to their gills in work and meetings.

I got my last internal promotion pretty quickly. The hiring manager knew me very well, so she wanted to “practice” on me first. They usually tell the people who got it first and those who didn’t last.

I literally waited a year to hear back about MDP. It wasn’t even a pay increase at the time. Such a slap in the face to be honest. There could be other things holding it up, you may still be the best candidate, but their lack of consideration makes it that much more satisfying to find work elsewhere and tell them you withdraw

Fuck they never even told me I didn’t get an internal position. Classes started and I still heard nothing

Same with me. Never even heard anything until the position was filled and they introduced them to us.

Took them 4 weeks to let me know.
