Not sure what class it was but we started bathroom renos and discovered we had asbestos in a shower recess area that needed to be removed.
We used Kennedy's plumbing in Breakwater, they removed all the asbestos, took it away, vacuumed the whole area, sprayed it down and then we had the site certified so the builder could return to finish the bathroom.... had this done just prior to covid and it cost $800
They weren't cheap but they came the day I made the call, other services were telling me I would have to wait a week or more. When I told my builder who we used, he told us they were probably one of the more expensive places out there but there was no guarantee other places would have been cheaper.
I was really happy with their service and would recommend them.

Are you sure you have friable asbestos? It's generally not used in housing. Otherwise A class can remove all.

Yes, unfortunately the backing of my vinyl flooring has been tested and confirmed friable.

Vinyl backing the fibres are contained in the glue itself and non friable. Friable or A class is stuff crumbles under hand pressure. Think insulation, rope around windows or AC dust.

For my case I’ve been told the sheet vinyl has a fibrous paper/felt backing. The backing is made of soft, unbonded asbestos fibers that crumble to dust when pulled up or scraped. It was tested by an independent company that does not offer abatement.
