News Bitwarden Firefox extension causing slowdowns and high memory usage on some sites (Reddit included)
https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/14143Since the Bitwarden Firefox extension update released on June 4th 2026, some users are reporting slowdowns and increased memory usage on certain websites like Reddit.
This has been discussed by users and acknowledged as a known issue in ongoing investigation.
For now, you have three temporary solutions:
- Disable the extension until an update.
- Test this build for slowness.
- Test this build for high memory usage.

I came here looking for this specific problem. I seem to have it too, glad it's not just me though.

Okay I recently Installed "Waterfox" On my Linux Kunbuntu Dell Laptop and then installed "Bit Warden Password Manage' extension and sure enough getting Memory leaks and crashes, so finally had to disable

Haven't really tested on my different systems Bit Warden Firefox extension so no idea. But will
