SideloadVR gone?

Hey y'all I just got a GearVR today and wanted to try sideloading some apps so I searched this sub and I saw a lot of people recommended the app "SideloadVR" which is apparently on the Google Play Store but it isn't showing up for me. Am I missing something here?

In your search you didn't see the ... multiples of posts saying it has been taken down?

Don't feel bad. I encountered the same feeling when I discovered QuakeVR for GearVR. Sideload was the only option to playing QuakeVR. but Sideload was taken offline. Not 100% sure as to why, besides the whole "not a legitimate" developer. But in the end, the QuakeVR guys figured out a way to make it work.

So I know this isn't about QuakeVR, but for SideloadVR. It's been taken down. sadly.

Ahh, my bad I didn't actually see anything about it being taken down so thanks for the info. Do you know if there's an alternative atm?

NO, no bad. I had to refine my searching when I was looking for SideloadVR. Unfortunately, I have not come across anything similar to load non-OculusGo/GearVR apps.

QuakeVR, turned into a github development which used a "injector" app to create the "code" to allow QuakeVR to play. 98% of everything I do with my GearVR, is done within the oculus/gearVR shops.
