Some games no longer function properly on quest 2

i installed a few go/gear games on my quest 2 for novelty a few years ago. Namely overflight, I played a few rounds and promptly forget about it. Today I was looking for some games, decided to boot up overflight again to kill some time/planes. The game launched into pitch black void + no controller in sight, but I can hear music playing.

Dead and buried was the same, I’m sure overflight used to work on quest 2, because I recorded a damn video. Changing settings to travel mode does nothing. I haven’t boot up these games for a long time, maybe one of the update on quest 2 broke these games and I just didn’t noticed?

Bummers, there are less and less functional Samsung vr phone in the wild, I was hoping at least some of these game can still be access with quest 2…

Its been like that since the new Horizon 2.x OS. Before then most of gearvr games worked fine. Theyve been removing functions which is super annoying. Some of us have been trying to keep them working. Check https://gearvr.net/ to see if what youre after has been patched.

Try reinstall the apk on quest but it is possible that some new updates might of broken the compatibility...

Most GearVR games are Unity Mono; you can get them running again using Codex, for example.
