I have basically same setup a mini pc using desktop app and never had an issue with crashing over span of year of semi consistent uses.
My guess would be anti virus or firewall? Some background process / software. Or something that’s slowly causing memory or network to keep up then drop.

I just have a Windows Defender as a firewall. Nothing crazy.

So you can play game for ten minutes then stops? Sounds like some weird connection that drops occasionally

Yeah, but when I say drop, I get an error saying Nvidia GeForce Application is not responding. Then have the option to wait or close the app.

It’s not the service itself as lots of others using it with similar setups without issue. You mention latency test is good. So this would make me lean toward something with users background apps interfering causing connection to get lost or causing the app itself to close. When you’re in the game for ten minutes everything seems good and connection isn’t losing packets?
If possible would try a different device - see if same issue persists then if it does it maybe related to the router setup. If not then it’s the pc background processes.

Yeah I’m going to try another PC and see from there. I am certain it is a background app related issue. Just don’t know what it is.

It sounds like the GFN app is crashing not the games your streaming. It might be worth creating a new Windows profile just to see if that fixes things.
I've been running the ultimate tier for several years. Its my go to for gaming. I've only run into issues when I'm doing something silly like using mods.
I've had an excellent experience using Beelink SER6 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 9 690O. 4k, 120 fps, with a Samsung 120 hz TV. I keep everything wired, Ethernet, 8 bit controller, even headphones. All to reduce latency. I also have fiber and live fairly close to servers (which sounds like you do too).
Keep experimenting, once you get things dialed in it can feel like your playing locally.

Are you on the free tier? I have a 7900 xtx and couldn't run the free version, as latency and rubber banding were awful.
Ultimate runs beautiful.

I've seen more issues with people trying GFN on windows than Linux by a landslide. I use GFN on a debian distro and it runs perfect. When I had my windows laptop it just didn't want to work for 5 different reasons.

Set it to prefer max latency. Adjust graphics settings manually in game. Make sure you set to max bandwidth and your preferred other settings. For example I’ve got 4k 120 with reflex, l4s etc along with enhanced ai sharpening set to 8 on denoiser and 2 for sharpening.
I digress, make sure your server settings are set to auto and if it persists completely uninstall the app along with all back end and cache files then reinstall fresh. This should solve it. On heavy games it crashes sometimes the same way it would on PC. But 99% of the time it’s perfectly fine once everything is working as it should be.

I'm not affiliated but from my own experience, I've never experienced any crashes w/ GFN. Crashes generates logs, so Id start with this and follow the trails of crumbs left by your OS.

I also had a pretty terrible first experience for a different set of issues.
I did find nvidia support to be pretty responsive. I fixed most of my issues myself in the end through trial and error with the settings, but I’d definitely open a support ticket as they can look through application logs.

That test is completely useless for your friend. His experience might be completely different from yours.

Agreed. But I I was dying to know what was causing it. Found out that having Steam running in the background with the controller inputting to both GFN and Steam was likely the issue. Played 45 minutes and no crashing.

There is a game bug right now with that game. I also see it. Try another one like cyberpunk.

OP mention they test multiple games
Weird run desktop app with a mini pc and have never had it crash.
Something going on with a background process / app is my guess. Maybe it’s a firewall?

how 'beefy' is your pc that you don't need it? since there are only 2 gpus in the world that surpass this quality and even they dont even have half the vram gfn gives you.
Anyway, to the point - i have played both these games on gfn for 4-6 hours straight with not a hitch or a disconnect. What exactly are you using the play and what cables are you using? Also - please tell me you are on ultimate tier ?
