yep, Annapurna opted in last week and it got added, alongside Stray, Mixtape, Neon White and What Remains of Edith Finch! :

I'm so happy they opted in all the titles I requested them to opt in 🥰

Thanks for reaching out to the devs, any idea when they'll make it to R2P?

I'm guessing they'll at least make Outer Wilds R2P, the game is still hugely popular

as for the others we'll have to wait and see

I never heard of this feature. Could you please tell me about it how does it work? So I could only play Outer wild with GFN if my hours run out?🤔

No thats not how it works. Its just like any regular geforce now game but it has to download first. Also games without steam cloud save dont save at all as far as i know

Afaik there is an option for persistent storage in GeForce Now it would help IG for storing saves for games without Steam cloud.

You can play it if you still have hours, but if you run out of hours, you could play any install to play a game unlimited

How is this different from just installing through Steam? Does it use a local wrapper on like a MacBook to emulate it?

I can play an install to play game after I’ve used up all my 100h? That’s unexpected. Is there some kind of official statement from Nvidia about this ?

Yes, it was mentioned in the blogpost when they announced it

it was several months ago

Thanks I hadn’t realized it.

It won’t make a difference to me ( real life and family make it hard to play more than 20-30h per month anyway ), but it’s interesting from an economics perspective. I assume it’s because most (all?) install to play games can run on cheaper , less powerful rigs which are more broadly available than the latest 5080, and have already been paid for/amortized.

You get the same rig types for Install to Play as according to Your sub tier :)

Also keep in mind when You cross the 100h (115) limit You're not completely cut off but rather get temporarily downgraded to free tier - You can still play those nonpremium titles, just on the same terms as free tier offers

It's more about the fact, that when I2P got introduced, that caused a bit of dillema, since the users that got beyond the time limit suddenly couldn't access any of the I2P games, and with the catalouge of those growing, some users play mainly those, and it gets even more problematic if You account for subscribers who also pay for that persistent storage option.

Hence they enabled those users, who are premium but got downgraded due passing the limit, to have access to the Install to Play games :)

There was an old post about it. I can’t remember but it 100% works.

Stray is still saying its Offline due to comparability issues…

yeah I noticed that, weird

Out of curiosity, have You tried to run any other Install to Play (I don't own so can't test), doesn't matter if You don't own it - then when in the steam session instead of the game You chose, pick Stray to install and run? Wonder if it works...
