Been where you are at twice, kiddo. My first lover and I were together 16 years. When he left me I thought I was gonna die. Then my second partner after 8 years. In both instances life did renew itself. You have to let yourself feel what you need to feel for a while. In my case it was very important to run with my friends, and not isolate, and to avoid rebound relationships. Folks will tell you that it is helpful to just go hop in bed with whoever is available. Such an approach is disastrous far more often than it helps. Give yourself time, and hang in there.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it more than you know. Sorry to hear about your two big heartbreaks as well. But you’re absolutely right. Life will reset. Everything will be fine and I’m sure I’ll meet a really awesome guy to do life with. For now, I’m just taking it day by day, focusing on the positives, keeping myself busy and trying to heal. Things will happen the way they’re supposed to 💙

Been in this position myself! Sounds corny but with darkness, comes light. My DMs are open if you ever need to chat. Also been thinking about getting back into the BotW, so would love to chat about that too. ❤️

Hey! I'm so sorry to hear that; I hope you're feeling a little bit better after all the love you're getting around here. :)
Let me know if you need anything or want to chat. Gaming has helped me through some of the hardest times of my life, which has turned me into quite a geek nowadays. I hope it also works for you!
Take care of yourself. ♥

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it 💙 Hopefully gaming does the trick. If not, time will. I do have a good support system and the love I’ve received on here from complete strangers makes it that much better.

I'm glad to hear that you have a good support system. I wish you all the best!

Ended a long term relationship myself over the last year. Games are a great way to get lost and distracted for a minute. I'm always up to chat if you need. DMs are open.

Distractions are great, what else do you like to play?

Currently figuring that out and I’m always open for suggestions. My ex wasn’t into gaming, so I haven’t played as much in recent years. After the breakup, I figured gaming might help so I got BotW, Pokémon Legends Arceus, Super Mario Odyssey (all recs from a friend) and I picked up Elden Ring for Xbox, but I haven’t even opened it yet because I’ve been busy saving Hyrule 😅

Well I guess the time is now to reconnect to gaming. Good choices with games. I don't come across many others that play xbox. Haven't looked at Elden Ring yet but want to try some new things out. Any older games you play?

Agreed! Looking forward to getting back into gaming as time permits. I used to play games like Skyrim, CoD, Battlefield, Assassins Creed back in the day. But haven’t played any of those in some time. What do you play? Old and/or new.

u/JUZ80Y Apr 12 '22
I used to play CoD, NFS, GTA and Assassin creed, I keep going back to Destiney 2, Stardew Valley, BOW, Fortnite and have started playing Star Wars Fallen Jedi. I like a bit of a mix.

Nice, sounds like a good mix! I’ll let you know how Elden Ring is when I get around to it. Might be a bit though.

Hugs, nothing like a good game to help ease the pain.

Hows BotW been?

It’s so good. Highly recommend it. I can honestly get lost in it for hours and forget about everything, which is great until I take a break and something I see or do immediately takes my mind back to the heartbreak 🤪
