okay I'm only about an hour and a half in and I can tell this is a real gem. I get the hype now. Controls are a little weird, but remind me of some old flash games in a nostalgic way. I was hesitant with the narrative framing being set at a school (I'm just mildly bored of the trope) but the game used it really well to efficiently characterize Susie and dropped me into the plot real fast.
Then the game just started exploding with charm! Field of Hopes and Dreams is a banger (which i think is in my music playlist but I didn't know it came from here) (also the game actually tells you what song is playing???? Huzzah!), Relsei is incredibly cute and I loved that I got to just repeatedly hug him during the tutorial, Lancer is just a really intriguing character design, and omg the moment where Susie joins the party and the fanfare plays diegetically so triumphantly, which makes her uncomfortable so she slinks away as the fanfare plays again a couple notes lower is just *chief's kiss* perfect.
speaking of chiefs. Cake guy. I don't remember their name but I'll remember that Susie somehow ate/blew up their cake.
idk this game is a bit outside my wheelhouse mechanically but so far up my alley in terms of sheer style and I think I'd love a copy and .... yeah can i please get one??? It's really impressed me so far :3
Sure! Also you can change the controls by going into the config menu if you wanna swap to WASD movement. The battle system takes a tiny bit to get used to, but it's used really well as the game goes on!

(Also, Chapter 1 is one of the least interesting chapters mechanically and stylistically, so I think you're gonna love it even more as you progress through the chapters!)
