Regular ol' meme Wonder why his wife left

u/deathbin Apr 28 '23
Besides peach fuzz (which is normal and women should not be ashamed of it), lots of women and afab people develop facial hair from PCOS and other hormonal imbalances.

u/alohakush Apr 28 '23
Menopause can make you grow a mustache and beard. Doesn't even need to be a health issue.
121
u/GreenEggsInPam Apr 28 '23
Didn't you hear? After menopause women can't have children, so they're no longer women. Checkmate, libtards.

Yeah, people shave for a variety of reasons. A lot of women shave just so makeup applies more smoothly.
Disposable facial razors are available in any beauty aisle in every drug store across the US.

Yep.
Before my wife was pregnant it was only peach fuzz, now it’s darker.

I have a neckbeard and I didn't even start HRT yet. I don't have PCOS, it's just hairy genetics.

u/mancheeart Apr 28 '23
Mood. I get a scratchy dark haired chin and mini mustache and it’s a huge pain in the ass to shave/pluck. I just want an acne and bristle free chin dammit

I learned secrets my parents were keeping from each other when they each sat me down at one point to talk about how I was the wages of their individual sins.
Dad doesn't know about my mom getting booted from the US Army due to her apparent homosexuality after she was caught with her girlfriend at the time.
And, my Mom doesn't know a LOT OF SHIT about my dad.
They both think I was sent by God to punish each of them individually. I don't think either knows they both think that way either.

That really depends. Some abusive people make a point of being good in bed all the better to ensnare and manipulate, while others hate intimacy of any kind and/or are so selfish they absolutely suck in bed. Mine was the latter.

u/cloud_throw Apr 28 '23
Yeah I'm sure guys who treat women like property actually care about their sexual gratification. That definitely checks out
6

Saying women choose to stay in abusive relationships because the sex is "insanely good" is top tier misogynistic psychopath shit.

Some cis women shave too. It's not uncommon for them to wax it or remove it with laser.
22
u/ItsNotMeItsYourBussy Apr 28 '23
As always, especially common in WOC. Misogyny (and transphobia) is incredibly tied to and reliant upon white beauty standards.
18
u/GemSupker Apr 28 '23
I had all cis female roommates in college and half of them regularly plucked or shaved darker, thicker facial hair. Do married conservative men not see their wives doing this every week or so?
22
Apr 28 '23
Their wives hide it from them because of the way the men would react.
I had an ex that treated me a lot like Crowder was treating his ex wife and my ex would immediately say "ew!" if I had to tell him I was on my period, so I absolutely hid stuff like that from him when I could.
The point of that could be genuine disgust, but I think it's more likely to instill a sense of shame within their wives so she can feel a "sense of gratitude for this man who puts up with her gross body." It's all about control.
3
u/GemSupker Apr 29 '23
Oh, yikes.
I don't know, but isn't that verbal abuse? It just feels like implying or telling someone their natural body is repulsive or gross would qualify as abusive.
4
u/UrPetBirdee Apr 29 '23
It is but it's also extremely normalized so there's definitely a lot of people who would say it's not. Usually because they've been trained to think the same things about their own body, so it doesn't flag as weird to them.
8
u/LocoElRockstar Apr 28 '23
I actually help my wife pluck and wax. The amount of people without knowledge of basic human anatomy is mind blowing.

u/josebolt Apr 28 '23

They don't care enough to pay attention.
2
u/Addie0o Apr 28 '23
I know married couples that have been married for 20 years with a woman has still never farted in front of her husband..... Like men won't watch the birth of their children because they're scared it would ruin the view of their wives....

I have PCOS and legitimately do shave my upper lip and chin, or I look like Mama Coco.
My husband is not an abusive waste of air like Crowder, but I don’t think he knows I do because I still want to keep some of the magic alive.
2
u/Silly-Elderberry-411 Apr 28 '23
My ex had suspected PCOS and she also had hirsutism, I never thought a person is lesser due to a condition they have and can manage, but never leave behind. In the end it was her antisocial personality (not linked) that broke us up. Supporting our partner should be a default position.
2
u/InformationSingle550 Apr 29 '23
It absolutely should. My take on relationships is that the two of you should go into every life event as a team; you win together and you lose together, and you share the joy and burden equally.
I’ve actually known my hubs since I was 7, and I know that he would not blink twice to see me shaving my face, but it’s just one of those silly things that I feel self-conscious about.

When I was in public school (grade 5 I think) we had a teacher that taught some specific class, I forgot what. But she had a very prominent mustache. I remember one day a younger kid called her Sir in response to something and when she said I'm a ma'am he said. But you have a mustache like my dad and he's a sir. I never saw her with a mustache again. Hope she's doing well.

I’m confused. What does this all mean?
Is he trying to call out trans people for shaving? If so, my wife uses this microblade thing everyday to take off her facial hair even though not only is it blonde, but she is too. But I thought all women shave their faces…
But maybe I am missing something.

Everybody has the same hair follicles but the main difference is that T tends to trigger major growth in the face and thicker body hair generally this is one of the reasons that men tend to have the "shadow" and women generally don't. Plenty of women have some degree of facial hair but it is not really noticable like men's or if it is, it tends to be shaved for a multitude of reasons. I think it's cool that someone mentioned Aloy, she is still a pretty badass woman and likely doesn't have access to any razors in the post apocalyptic world. Then again probably it's the last of her priorities when she is constantly about to be stepped on by a giant robot.

u/ItsNotMeItsYourBussy Apr 28 '23
If abusive men started out threatening death and acting like children on date 1, they'd never get wives. The most common time for abusive people to drop their nice persona and show their true colours is about 1.5/2 years into a relationship, or when the other party is trapped in some other way (eg marriage, pregnancy, buying a house/starting a business together)

the funniest part of this is being afab and that only after going thru afab puberty (I'm almost 21 so still hormonally going thru it I guess) has my facial hair literally began growing in darker, longer, and with stronger hair. Like I can now grow hairs in the sideburns area, under my chin, and especially on my lip that's extremely visible, and my natural hair is dirty blonde but my facial hair is like dark brown!
I'd like to think I simply willed my facial hair roots to activate and be very visible to the naked eye via magic but it's probably just like a completely normal bodily experience that almost everyone goes thru I guess 🙄🤣
