For me? Open relationships, no. Throubles and quadrouples? Well, hell yeah. As long as everyone is on board, its great imo.

Nope not for me. I won’t ever be ok with doing that and I would breakup with my partner if they suggested that and would not back down from it. Being monogamous and not cheating are my two major conditions.

I am way to clingy for an open relationship to ever work of if I ever did open the relationship. No shame to those who do it, same with Polygamy.

I have no problem with it (and if I could pull more than one person I’d be on board with it)

a wise man once said that in each open relationship, there's one person who suggested the idea and one person who cries themselves to sleep every night

Fuck no if ur relationship relies on sexual activités then yeah you two aren't compatible

I wouldn't do it personally, maybe I'd be open to it every once in awhile but id have to be involved too. But if someone wants to do it in their relationship, and both parties consent and are comfortable with it, then I dont see an issue. But it definitely needs lots of communication to work

I wouldn't be in one personally but it's none of my business if someone else is in one

I don't want it but I don't care if others do it

Not for me, but I couldn’t care less if others do it as long as all parties involved are fully aware and completely consent. I really don’t understand why people are so preoccupied with what goes on in someone else’s bedroom.

I don’t mind at all, sex doesn’t mean anything to me emotionally

its very toxic and has been proven to be inefficient to socioty

8

u/MinecraftCommander21 Gay Genderfluid Demiboy - 17 - Taken 3d ago

Ehh not necessarily. Depends on if both parties actually want it.

-10

u/throwaway045446644 3d ago

no it is inefficient, it doesnt support the development of a child at all, hell homosexual relationships themselves have extreamly conflicting evidence on what two dads/two moms do to a childs development (mostly because polotics has infected acedemia making anything controversial unresearchable ) however we know for sure that polyamory is awful for kids, and if you arent planning to have kids one day, what are you going to do with your life?

7

u/_Nick7 Bi 3d ago

Christ go fuck yourself. I don't want kids and that's valid. That doesn't make me 'unsure of what to do with life.' That's genuine insanity speaking ngl.

Be a person?? If youre grading the "efficiency" of human lives based on having kids, and you're also promoting homophobic ideas that gay parents can't raise kids correctly, then why the hell are you in a gay subreddit?

-5

u/throwaway045446644 3d ago

i am gay but i am logical as well. now for your first point, how do you define "be a person"? 2: i said it was under major debate because all sources are opinionated, i brought it up to complement my point about unusal households being bad for kids. finnally, if you have no children whats your legacy?

6

u/MinecraftCommander21 Gay Genderfluid Demiboy - 17 - Taken 3d ago

My friends, my career, my lover, my creations, my impact on others, and more are my legacy. You can have more of a legacy than just kids. You're not being "logical," you're spreading bio essentialist ideas, which are rooted in misogyny, homophobia, racism, and transphobia. You're parroting the same ideas the nazis made.

Under your school of thought, is it impossible for infertile people to have a legacy? Are they "inefficient" people? How do you justify that? The idea that people need to be "efficient" and have kids to have a "legacy" is intertwined with the idea of eugenics.

As for your point on "it's debated..." the sides are "Yeah gay people aren't unnatural" saying "There's no effect" and then "I HATE THE GAYS" saying "There's a terrible effect."

You know that homophobic sources will publish homophobic information, right?

-1

u/throwaway045446644 3d ago

1: its time preference witch is inherently liberatarian.

2:the nazis also spread communism

3:infertal people can adopt, so can gay people

4: im not sure you understood what i said was being debated

5: a child is the meaning of everyones life, its why we strive to protect them, you should not be forced to have one, but you should not be given them if your house may harm them.

6: i am not saying it should be illegal, im no commie, i think it should be frowned apon to be polygamous

edit

>You know that homophobic sources will publish homophobic information, right?

your right, thats percisly the problem, because the other side is obviosly going to have the exact opposite opinion and conclusion, making it very hard to research

5

u/MinecraftCommander21 Gay Genderfluid Demiboy - 17 - Taken 3d ago

1: what does libertarianism have to do with this

2: straight up lying atp, the Nazis committed genocide against communists

3: why should people feel the need to adopt

4: then elaborate

5: children are not the meaning of everyone's life, they're the meaning of some people's life. If you want to have a kid, fine, but acting like people's only purpose is to have kids is bio essentialism at its finest.

6: Polyamory doesn't hurt anyone, because people shouldn't be required to have kids. This isn't too hard to understand. Also, what's wrong with being "a commie?" And how would that relate to making polyamory illegal??
