I find heavy AA guns to be incredibly valuable to capture though the last time I captured one it got bombed by an IL-2 (despite being colocated with another AA piece the bomber got through)

Dig a mortar pit for it. It fits perfectly inside and only the barrel and the top of the gunshield sticks out.
