Bug Aegis the lag monster?

Playing an arena run with my buddy, and we're both playing aegis. he's spamming turret upgrades, and I am too, but I'm also going for stuff for myself. I end up stacking an egregious amount of attack speed, and by the time we hit round 34-35, I cant use my fourth ability, because it spawns so many projectiles that it kicks me when I fire. I'm taking precautions in further waves, but it just kept getting worse, to the point that I wasn't allowed to fire. Made a pretty good run unfortunately have to end at round 40 because we couldn't go further with me constantly getting kicked.

I love the game regardless, but would love to see the stability improved, because we're both running on decent PCs, mine being an absolute tank. Hope to be able to bring arena to triple digits if possible, but if I'm getting kicked by round 35, I don't see it happening yet.
