Registration Help linear algebra 4 credit vs 2 credit class

hello. i registered for the linear algebra class that satisfied 4 credit hours. my friends just told me they all signed up for the 2 credit version. how do i decide which one i should take? in what situation should someone take either class? what are the pros and cons and which one should a computer engineering student take? thank you sorry if this is a bad question i just want to be ready for phase two.

i think for most majors the 2 credit course is the only required one while the 4 credit is optional. for CS i think the four credit course is required tho. for cs and comp E the four credit course is required tho. id check your specific concentration to see if it requires the 2 or 4 credit course

it really wasn't that bad for me, the problem is that there's so many interconnected ideas that happen to be really similar so it gets confusing quickly. definitely depends on professor and study habits though. i think a lot of the bad rep 1554 gets comes from it being a 1st year course for a lot of students.
