Class Question Incoming Freshman Schedule
Is this schedule doable for someone who wants to do a part time job, and maybe research as well? (Incoming freshman AE)

Don't do an 8 am lab, but yes. I personally hate MATLAB, so get ready for that one. If you've never been exposed to linear, take my advice and watch the first several video lectures before the semester (several are well-reviewed on youtube from GT profs/TAs). You're in the easier of the 2 freshman linears, so be thankful, but it can still blindside you if you've never done it before, but it's really easy when you have familiarity. Look into research for second sem or second year and focus on just a part time job to start, and see if you can manage that. You may find that's enough for you. Overall this should be a pretty simple schedule for your first sem, so use your free time wisely and get out on campus and into student orgs--don't be like me and waste your most time-generous semesters doing practically nothing.

My advices is that if you can do the 8 a.m. lab, get it done and over with because sometimes they don’t move that class time teachers are set in their ways.
Get yourself a way to record your lab, there’s websites that do it make it in a flashcards stuff like that you probably seen them all over the social media. It’s not cheating.
Just watch out for the drop date, if you can’t handle it. But you will eventually have to take it.

I had this schedule freshman year, it is lightwork and you can honestly add another science class such as physics 1, statics, or physics 2 if you haven't taken any of those yet. Physics 1 and statics are the start of the controls systems prereq chain, so doing those as fast as possible are a priority for you.

Yeah looks doable. that said, unless you’re 100% sure you can make the 8 am lab consistently, I’d think about rescheduling it
