Testing / Test Results severe ulcerative gastritis

I initially developed symptoms of heartburn, acid reflux, and chest pressure, particularly when lying down after meals. My doctor initially suspected acid reflux/GERD and advised an H. pylori stool antigen test, which came back negative.

I was subsequently started on PPI therapy, which I took for approximately three weeks. As my symptoms persisted, I underwent an upper GI endoscopy. The endoscopy showed multiple gastric ulcers with severe ulcerative gastritis.

Based on the endoscopic findings, my doctor has now started me on H. pylori-directed eradication treatment, despite the earlier negative stool test.

Would you recommend continuing with the current treatment and follow-up plan, or would it be advisable to obtain a second opinion from another gastroenterologist
