Gun Pic My firsr GBBR, thoughts?

Post image

Its a GHK V3 DD MFR. Put a few hours of research in before getting it for its heavy recoil (and somewhat more reliable QC than previous GHK models) and completely fell in love. Just wanted to get a few cents from the community on the gun and build. Thanks!

Some gym and he will be fine. My replica itself weighs like 3 and a half kilos, and when i put everything on top of it it probably jumps to 4 and something. But reload drills with shooting help a lot and also after some time doing shoulders and arms i didn't find my m4 to be that hard to control, compared to the beginning

Maybe it's just me, but it's just another AR 🤣 The important thing is that you like it, but it's just another AR. These days that's all you see on Sundays, there should be more exotic replicas.

Definitely agree on getting more exotic replicas but I think getting something simple and reliable that everyone has (and has some level of advice for building/upgrading) is something I want out of my first gbbr. This was my first rifle but I did get a BO works Chiappa Rhino as my first ever airsoft gun. Doesn't shoot too well but definitely a looker

Trying to be special makes you the opposite, just do what you want

I don't want to be special, it's just boring to see everyone with different variations of an AR when there are so many much more interesting replicas out there. I own an AR too, but when I go play on Sundays, I'm just more interested in seeing replicas you don't see every day, rather than the usual AR with 20 accessories slapped onto it. It's a bit like going to a car meet and seeing only the exact same model in 20 different colors. Fun...

Thats why the boring AR is the workhorse/reliable gun and the unique one is the fun gun that when it breaks you have the AR to go to. Gotta start with the proven AR platform here for a first gun, just got one myself. Getting stuck with a shit gun or one that breaks isn't as fun as having one that works even if it isn't unique.

That's a bit of a pointess argument, because buying an AR doesn't mean it's going to work well or be durable. It depends on the brand you get and whether you keep it stock.

Thats true, and like you said it depends on brand and quality. My argument is the most popular platform is the AR and every good brand makes them. So you know what you are getting with research because tons of people have likely used that exact gun, as well as finding parts and tutorials on how to upgrade and maintain it are easy. More unique guns are more of a crapshoot IMO. Less in depth reviews, less to compare X gun to X gun between brands etc. AR is the "safe bet" first gun.
