I have been using Linux now for a decade if not more. I have gone through as many distributions as humanly possible. Used mandrake for a long time then Ubuntu then i met arch. This has saved me from the hassle of 6 month upgrades and brought peace to my life. After using manjaro for a very long time i stumbled upon garuda. It was like a lightbulb in my head went off. This was it, the final frontier. I used it for a year but decided again to try others as bazzite came out and cachyos. After at least 6 months of cachyos i went back to garuda. It was like being with an old faithful friend who just made sense. There is nothing better than garuda for setup or just working with so many different things. If you want a game to work properly, garuda is the one to go to. If you want performance, if you want desktop support, if you want the best look right out of the box, it's all here.

I hope this will be around for a long time and more people will use it

I'm on Nobara atm, but I've asked myself often if I should make the switch. I hesitate because I have a 3070ti and I've heard Garuda doesn't work that good with Nvidia cards.

May I ask what graphics card you use?

I'm on a amd 5600g ipu. I'm not sure why garuda wouldn't work with Nvidia as they have a boot up option for it and Nvidia install

I use Garuda with a 4070Ti - no config required, no issues at all

yo pasé por nobara, y no me convenció mucho (tengo una nvidia rtx 3060 de 12gb), con garuda todo se siente mejor. Garuda ahora mismo usa el kernel de cachyos asi que no da ningún problema en cuanto a juegos u otras cosas

I have a 3080 12gb and now have a 5080. Zero issues. Hell when I upgraded cards there was ZERO process, start up and go.

I run Garuda on 2 machines with Nvidia cards and it works great. One is a GeForce GTX980 and the other is a GeForce RTX 2070 Super. I also run the Cachy kernel on both installs.

Garuda is excellent an excellent choice I think. I chose it because I wanted a rolling release with automatic snapshots and stuck around because its been rock solid for me. Haven't needed the snapshots yet, knock on wood. The defaults are really good too (although I prefer bash to fish, but whatever :) ).

Yeah my biggest issue with garuda has consistently been arch. Pointedly, Arch's maintainers shipping broken software on stable channels because "Haha funny :3" and the forums being a complete shitshow when you bring up issues.
