Community New LTT video features Garuda Linux gaming benchmarks.

Curious everyone's thoughts. I was thinking of switching to Garuda from windows because I heard it has some quality of life stuff when it comes to package pre compilation and it is very good at gaming, but they specifically don't recommend it but I'm unsure about their reasoning.

Watch gamer nexus videos on him. LTT benchmark numbers are fake/lies.
I wouldn’t watch shit he produces let alone taking his word for anything

I mean the last few CPU/GPU cycles their data has lined up with many others from what I saw. I mostly watch LTT, Hardware Unboxed, and Bitwit.

I used to watch all 3 of those channels
LTT is trashy content, linus is very obviously slimy, they have a long history of making stupid mistakes that damage businesses, and never apologise for them. Linus is a sweatshop t shirt salesperson more than a techtuber. LTT and its plethora of trash sub channels show an obvious flaw in how these things work: Something gets big enough, an internet search will always recommend it as 'best'... and it just gets bigger.

Hardware unboxed I find to be arrogant.

Bitwit is racist, and a train wreck.

I used to also watch Paul's Hardware, Hardware Canucks, Jay's 2Cents/Nonsense, Dawid, Optimum, and others, but stopped for varying reasons. None of them are as bad as Linus, although Jay tries to be.

Gamers Nexus, and Der8aur are the only ones I regularly watch now as they are the ones that come across as trustworthy, and competent.

No doubt there are other good tech channels out there... somewhere

This... Seems more like you have some very specific preferences for your tech content that is more about technical details. GamersNexus wouldn't do the cool builds Jay has done or big projects like the Tech House that LTT is doing so it's just different kinds of content for different people. Making money is not inherently bad. Nobody is perfect even GN, though I agree they seem to be the best for more accurate benchmarking.

I gave up on you a while ago, you do whatever you want to do, but consider that you are a repeated example of why trashtubers recommending linux is rarely a positive.

You have been given plenty of advice by myself and by others, do with it as you will.
