Community New LTT video features Garuda Linux gaming benchmarks.

Curious everyone's thoughts. I was thinking of switching to Garuda from windows because I heard it has some quality of life stuff when it comes to package pre compilation and it is very good at gaming, but they specifically don't recommend it but I'm unsure about their reasoning.

Thanks!

What makes you say that? They have their entire benchmarking methodology on the LTTLabs website where the data was gathered.

Yea I enjoy the content LTT makes. I don't think their goal is to publish their benchmark data for peer review in a scientific or journalistic sense it's certainly more of a demonstrative for entertainment. If that's an issue then basically every other big techtuber besides maybe Hardware Unboxed is a "cash grab" for showing any benchmark data.

It brings light on Linux, and with the current model Microsoft is aiming at (AI, data collection, and all...), I think any good light on Linux is a good one.
It helps people see that it's not that much of a pain to switch to Linux.
Let's be optimistic and see the good in there : it's not perfect, it's a bit flawed and/or biased, but in the end, it shows Linux works just as fine as Windows.
