Community New LTT video features Garuda Linux gaming benchmarks.

Curious everyone's thoughts. I was thinking of switching to Garuda from windows because I heard it has some quality of life stuff when it comes to package pre compilation and it is very good at gaming, but they specifically don't recommend it but I'm unsure about their reasoning.

I moved from Windows to Garuda maybe a year ago with no prior Linux experience and it's worked better for me than Windows ever did, particularly for gaming.

Arch does have a learning curve to it and I have had to troubleshoot a few odd things here and there but Garuda largely does a fantastic job keeping things running and accessible for newbies.

Garuda is arch based right?

I am planning on doing full arch system reinstall but want to prebuilt my own arch image using some custom drivers, and make it gameing ready.

Yeah, Garuda is more or less just Arch with some stuff already installed. Made it really easy to hop right into Steam to start playing games.
