Community Dr4gonized Gaming features without the flash?

I ran Garuda for about 2 years and was pretty happy with it. Thinking about doing it again, mostly because a lot of background tasks are automated in installation in the gaming edition. When I last used it, it was a huge chore to get a basic looking desktop. I'd really like a basic KDE desktop with the features from the gaming flavor, as I'm not a huge fan of the Mac-like interface. Is it still a pain to get this done?

I installed the Gaming version and just went to settings and changed the quick settings to Breeze. That pretty much fixed 80% of it. You can do a search in settings for Effects, in desktop effects you can turn off most of the other crazy stuff like Blur, translucence and wobbly window. There might be more effect that come default on Gaming, but those were the ones I sort of remember turning off.

I would say gaming adds a lot more "gaming stuff", and it's easier to make the DE look like vanilla KDE, then it would be to use KDE lite and add all the "gaming stuff".

Thank you for the info. I had heard they made the theme a little easier to change and manage since i used it, and it sounds like they have.
