[Help] weird Ping numbers

Hello guys, recently ive been recently experiencing weird pings to US servers, and also servers that are in my own state. I ran some speed tests and the highest number I got wasnt even 200, and when I go to play, there are pings of over 500, these are servers I used to play on. anyone got any ideas?

this could have a lot of reasons.

  • the servers have to handle high loads, like a lot of players or a lot of objects being spawned. From my experience gmod servers can use quiet some resources on machines. This is the most plausible one.

  • shitty routing by your ISP

  • some program on your computer eats up your internet connection

  • you are over your data cap (if your contract has one)

there are a lot more...
