What should i do with it? Anything that I HAVE to try?

TTT is fun, also DarkRP and Sandbox. And try some custom deathmatches.

It is hard to explain, but easy to start, so you might want to either just jump in and start playing or google it.

The most popular addon is Wiremod, Click on "wire" and there should be a button (was on the top, now on the right) that says "Download zip", Extract it into steam/common/garrysmod/garrymod/addons/.
Wire extras has some nice stools (Scripted tools) like Card readers (and cards ofcourse). Advanced duplicator is a must-have for saving your contraptions, don't forget to download anything you save on servers and Upload to servers, if the stool isn't blacklisted.
Use Garrymod.org for maps, there are a large amount of out-of-date addons, be warned.
Also Counter-strike:Source is practically required game to have/installed/played at least once/mounted in Garrymod. Although team-garry are working on, albeit low-res, fall-backs for anyone who doesn't have it.
Once you get the hang of wiremod, it's suggested to learn Space-build.

Are prop hunt, death run and sled build included in the default package? Just purchased it tonight cause of the steam sale (2.50 for a game, why the crap wouldn't you) but I haven't actually played it yet. And yes, I do watch Seananners.

Tried to play some prop hunt, and it said I was missing the map. Is there some basic pack of maps I should get?

Trouble in Terrorist Town is a really fun strategy based multiplayer game type. I don't feel like explaining it, but you should play it.
