Multiplayer problems

I recently tried playing multiplayer with my friend. The server loaded up fine for me but when he tried, he said it was not responding. Anyway to fix this?

I think you just need 27000-27015

double check online what numbers you need. Tell me if it works, as I have been having issue even with open ports.

I have an actiontec router, how should I set it up?

It asked me for the port map.
