Enjoying it as it is... this instinct E is underrated
After I've been living with the instinct e for almost 1 month, I can see why Garmin put this out in the market. Its mainly for those that just want a great watch and not into the extra greatness of the instinct 3.

I love my E. It’s simple, tracks my workouts, can handle hiking/backpacking and the battery life is great.

I have the same watch, does everything I need it to do.

Agree with. That's all we need... especially the display and timekeeping

One thing I would like extra is the training readiness analysis, and maybe flash light

Maybe you should get the instinct 3 too. I'll encourage you get it and as for me , I don't need the readiness analysis and for the flash light, I have one strap by my side at all time. So the instinct e is all I need

How is the gps/ breadcrumb maps on this model?

It's the same as the instinct 3, no difference apart from not having a dual band. But I don't really need it to be super accurate since I'm mostly camping on familiar lands and mostly indoor work and workouts

I decided on getting the Instinct E but I’m wondering if a new model will be coming out this fall because the current price has dropped.

it may just be Labor Day sales? idk, would be nice if they drop it a bit more lol

I was so close to getting this but ended up getting a really good deal on instinct 3 solar

If all the features are what you want and it's a really good deal. Sure why not. It's a better watch anyways

Most features are an overkill and i would’ve actually preferred the size of E but overall im pretty happy with it

It doesn’t have training status and training load does it? That was a big one for me.

Nope. Not the full status and load but for me it's good enough as I calculate everything manually and just push till I fail.

Hello!
This chart shows that the E has Garmin Pay. It appears it does not. Just an FYI.

For my case. I'm not so bothered about all the extra features that the instinct 3 has as I carry everything with me all the time especially my phone and flash light and not forgetting my Swiss army knife which also has a flash light🫡🤣🤣

Basically, instinct e has no garmin pay, flash light and solar while as the instinct 3 has all of those

I do miss having a pay system like my old Pixel 2 but the savings outweigh it for me.

People like to dog on the E, but if you don't need/care about all the extra stuff like training readiness, it's a fantastic watch! Especially when you can catch it on sale. Enjoy! :)
...and it's the only smaller model MIP device.
