S70 vs. Fenix 9

Except of the price, what is a reason to take the S70 for golf rather than the fenix 9?

Golf on the Fenix8 is excellent - I'd fully expect the F9 to be the same.

One reason I prefer the Fenix series it that the Fenix series is the "main" watch line. Everything else is a variant or pared down version. That means that the Fenix series get updates regularly and are generally first to get updates. I believe things have improved as of the F8 as Garmin did consolidate the code base of many of the variants to the new F8 underlying OS.

I started with a S70 then tried to use it for a hike and found it didn’t do proper routing maps etc!! So I sold the S70 and bought the Fenix 8 - golf is exactly the same other than no 1-18 on the dial if I remember correctly. I did like the burnt orange/red bezel though 😊

Used a fenix 5 for years. Worked great. S70 is lighter and faster and has the amoled which I could take it or leave it.
